Where and When?
For 2011 we’re once again delighted to be at the Hotel Hershey (Hershey, PA), the weekend of Setpember 22-24. Hershey offers both a central location, as well as a first-rate venue at the Hotel. Please check the 2011 Event page as additional details become available.
Our objectives for the Weekend, and the Invitation Process…
Keystone Weekend was of such value and interest that it has in fact become an annual event. We are seeking a group of interesting leaders from a wide variety of fields, and have benefitted greatly from ideas and introductions made to us by a great many Pennsylvanians. In an effort to ensure the Weekend is highly interactive, we are targeting a specific number of participants, and as such, are maintaining an invitation-only process.
How are the panels organized?
Each Symposium will be moderated by a panel of well-informed special guests. While the sessions certainly could be interactive, we’d like you to consider targeting an introductory portion for discussion from the moderators and/or fellow panelists. It is very important for our fellow conference attendees to feel that they have a chance to contribute in these symposiums, so we would like to target the latter half of each discussion for questions/comments from those in attendance at the symposium.
Are significant others and spouses welcome?
Yes, most certainly.
Will each participant be assigned a speaking role of some sort?
Yes, the intent is that all of the symposiums and panel discussions will be led by two or three moderators, and our hope is that each of these will be highly interactive, rather than “speeches”. Between the panel moderator roles, and other roles, we anticipate that each of us will have, beyond our contributions to the interactive panels, an “assigned” leadership role for a panel, breakout session, or dinner remarks.
What can I do prior to the Weekend?
We’d ask three things. First, to confirm your attendance at your convenience. Second, we will be in touch with you to discuss possible panel moderator roles which you would find of most interest and value, and to work with you to help orchestrate the panel. Finally, we very much welcome your thoughts regarding topics and others you may think would find the Keystone Weekend of value.
What is the cost, and how will that work?
As a strictly private function, we have worked carefully with the Hotel Hershey to provide first class accommodations while being cost effective. The on-site costs for participants will vary, based on nights accommodations at the Hotel and number of guests. Costs and discount hotel reservation materials will be mailed to invitees prior to the annual event and inviteess will be instructed to register online or by mail.
